Mario Puzo(1999) PENGUIN READERS LEVEL4, The Godfather This is a one of the best films ever made. A famous actor, Al Pacino appeared in this movie. But this story may look heavy for someone because characters died in this movie. This story is set in 1945. Don Vito Corleone is godfather of the richest families in New York. The beginning of this story is a scene of his doughter's wedding. It looks so happy. But this story got to be hard. A lot of character appeared so this story looks complicated. I introduce three main lines to you. Please check it out !! "Many of the guests had reason to be greatful to Don Corleone for their good luck in life, and they called him Godfather to his face" (p.1) "Sollozzo pulled out a knife and pushed it straight through Luca's hand." Barbara Vine(1988) PENGUIN READERS LEVEL4, The House of Stairs Last week, I read "CLASSIC STORIES Mystery and Adventure". This book made me be interested in mystery. Therefore, I read it and introduce to you. Today, I introduce "The House of Stairs". This is written by Barbara Vine. (Her real name is Ruth Rendell.) She is from Sweden and wrote a lot of mystery.  Some of her book were made film and won famous prizes. Of course, "The House of Stairs" did that.
